Biography
Dr. Kamil M. Amer is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon practicing at North Jersey Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine. His clinical focus spans hand and upper-extremity surgery, arthroscopic sports medicine, joint replacement, and the surgical management of fractures and trauma — with an emphasis on returning patients to the work, sport, and daily activities they value most.
Dr. Amer earned his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, followed by fellowship training at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and holds privileges at multiple hospitals across northern New Jersey.
Philosophy of care
"Surgery is one part of recovery — not the whole of it. The most important conversations I have with patients are about what they want to get back to: a sport, a job, a routine with their family. Once we understand that, we can build the right plan, surgical or otherwise."
